Exciting opportunity for a Chinese English bilingual social media enthusiast.  We are looking for a social media manager & content creator to work with us at a well-established not-for-profit organisation to showcase our work and to share our resources. This is a part-time contractor role, initially requiring 1 to 1.5 days of work per week. The organisation has an office in Sydney CBD and you’ll have the flexibility to work from home. You will be working under the guidance and with the support of senior executives. You will be paid at an attractive hourly rate, determined by your level of skills.

Main duties:

  • Implement and optimise the organisation’s social media strategy and operation.
  • Manage the organisation’s social media accounts, including but not limited to drafting contents in both English and Chinese, monitoring online activities and interactions, and keeping a regular weekly posting schedule.
  • Report to management regularly and as requested.


Requirements and desired qualities:

  1. Must have permission to work (Australian citizen, Permanent Resident, or relevant visa holders).
  2. Strong interest in Australian studies, Chinese society, international relations and in the not-for-profit sector.
  3. Fluent in both English and Chinese, excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing using both languages.
  4. Proven social media experiences and skills setting up and operating social media platforms in English and Chinese.
  5. Ability to work independently and to collaborate with others, managing priorities and meeting timeline requirements.
  6. Ability to commit to the role for a minimum of eight hours a week on an ongoing basis.
  7. Professional, committed, creative, genuine, respectful with attention to detail.
