About Us

FASIC supports engagement and educational activities to deepen understanding between the peoples of Australia and China.

FASIC is an apolitical not-for-profit organisation that operates on the principles of Respect, Trust, Inclusion and Excellence.

We respect the differences in people of diverse backgrounds and we support an inclusive social environment. We act with integrity and authenticity. We strive for excellence to build trust and to expand opportunities between the peoples of Australia and China.

With the support from the National Foundation of Australia China Relations and private sector donors, we manage programs and activities that enhance the mutual understanding and engagement between the peoples of Australia and China.

We enhance the understanding of Australia in China through the provision of grants and other initiatives with the Australian Studies Centres in China operated by Chinese universities.

We provide funding for scholarships and educational exchanges between Australia and China as well as funding to support a Chair of Australian Studies.

Our Programs

We are thrilled to launch the Window on Australia Awards (WAA). This competition encourages social media users to create appealing portrayals of Australia through publishing videos and articles.

Australian Studies in China Program (ASP) is a series of grants that are intended to promote Australian Studies within China.

FASIC manages a range of programs and activities. Please view the Program tab on the top of the website for more information.
